As a ‘shell and core’ space, there was no need to strip out the existing infrastructure, allowing us to commence the fit-out on day one. In the initial stages, we were tasked with relocating the incoming power and distribution boards to allow for a full installation of power and lighting.
We worked closely with Naomi to achieve their vision for a semi-industrial look and feel, similar to their original establishment. We constructed the central bar on-site with hanging light features and painted the exposed bricks to fit with the final colour scheme. We also created alcoves in the walls for individual seating booths.
To complete the look, we used reclaimed railway sleeper benches from Lovibonds Brewery Taproom, a location Dave and Naomi frequented as customers. We complemented the wood effect floor, wooden bar, and tabletops with greenery and foliage. We also erected storage space under the bar tops and constructed a galvanised mesh gas cylinder cage for storage.
The project took 8 weeks to complete, and the new Hoppy Place bar opened in July 2022 to extremely positive customer feedback. We are confident that Dave and Naomi will achieve great success in their new Maidenhead location.
